Perhaps we need to start with one of my favorite dogs, who is at the very beginning of almost all of the dogs you will see on this page. He was the absolute start of so many lines of today.
Ch. Twin Creeks Post Script ROM and his brothers begat some of the very foundations of the show dogs we all know and enjoy today. He was bred by Joyce Houser of Twin Creek Collie fame.
CH Twin Oaks Joker's Wild HC ROM was a dog that I admired greatly. He was bred and loved by Mary Benjamine of Twin Oak Collie fame. He is also at the beginning of most of today's show dogs in the Midwest and many other regions. Joker plays a heavy role in the collies of Pennylane. Just look at any one of our pedigrees and you will find his name.
This is CH Elsinore's Nantucket Blues. One of the all-time great smooths. He is the sire to our Fine China and Tapestry. Two of out foundation smooth bitches.

This dog contributed greatly to our line and to Collie history. His name is CH. Fury The Spirit Of Legends ROM. Fury was bred and owned by Jean Framke. One of the most breathtaking dogs ever. He contributed the elegant head detail that is found in so many lines such as Executive and Venessee.
This is without a doubt, Ara's most prolific son. CH. Vennessee Midnight Express ROM exhibited the sweet expression and head detail that was his birthright and added showmanship. He consistantly gave these qualities to his progeny. When this litter of young dogs were first presented to the fancy at the National Specialty by Joyce Weinmann, they caused quite a stir regarding their unique look and were adored for their head detail. Like Joker, Mister and his brothers are at the very core of most Pennylane Collie pedigrees.
Ch. Marnus Gold Medalist ROM is perhaps my favorite dog of all time. He has been the pride and joy of the famous Marnus Kennels in New York, owned by Ron and Marcia Keller. This picture is of Riley taking Best of Breed at the 1990 Collie Club Of America.
From this line came CH. Marnus Golden Ruler, ROM.

From this dog, we have continued his legacy of sweet, soft expression, beautiful eye, and wonderfully true Collie Temperament that his line is famous for. You will see many of our current show dogs and producers decend from this dog. From him came CH. HIGHCROFT LODE-ARK'S LEGEND ROM,

bred by Chip and Pat Atkins and owned by Don & Leslie Jeszewski and Pat Atkins. Legend has had a spectacular show career. In 2004, he ended up with #1 in Breed and All-breed listings. He has had multiple Best In Show Awards, Group 1 and multiple Specialty Best of Breeds. He has been selected for an Award of Merit at the National 4 times. In 2004, he was BOB at Westminster and BOB at the Collie Club Of America National Specialty. You will see his name in many of the Pennylane Pedigrees including our favorite producer, Highcroft Nightline.
Piper also sired one of my all-time favorite smooth dogs, who has added many qualities to our smooth line in his get.
CH. TIMELESS GOLDEN WARRIOR ROM, out of Ch. Oak Knoll's Timeless Reflection, ROM, daughter of Ch Timeless Over-Energized, was bred by Roxann & Dale Heit. Hayden has been in the Top Ten for several years. He received an Award Of Merit in 2002, and has Multiple Group l placements. He topped his wins by going Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Variety at the 2003 National.

We have his daughter, CH Pennylane's Charade and now have a granddaughter (Diana) out of CH. Pennylane's Lost Creek Belle, owned by Peter Conway. The future looks very bight with these dogs available to us.
From this wonderful producer, BISS Ch. Timeless Over-Energized ROM, we have a daughter, CH Pennylane's Oak Knoll Encore. She has given us a son, Pennylane's Point of Reference that received his first major at his second day of showing by going BOS at 8 months old.
All of these dogs are directly related to the past successes of other breeders....and headed into the future.
