How fitting that this wonderful dog should descend from CH Marnus Golden Ruler ROM. Our own Odie was this dog's 22nd champion offspring giving him his ROM (Register of Merit) title. We have been granted use of that genetic wonder in yet another dog. His first two champion offspring were bred at Highcroft, CH. Highcroft Hayley Mills and CH. Highcroft Ultimate Suspense. Both of these dogs are truly beautiful. While Koppel was not shown enough to finish his championship, his producing ability has always been evident in his puppies and his grandpuppies. His get were consistently blessed with that hard to get finish of underjaw, correct textured and fitting coat, loving personality, and his undeniable showmanship. During 2008, until his death, Koppel lived with his co-owner and one of his bigget fans, William Flynn of Spring Creek Collies. On Saturday, October 4, 2008, our Koppel escaped his enclosure while at Bill's and was hit by a moving vehicle resulting in an instant death. I'm thankful that I have several of his offspring to continue on with. While no other dog will take his place, perhaps I will soon have another rough tri to look at me with that twinkle in his eye to remind me of what was.

Best of Breed June 19 and June 20 at Iowa City, Iowa 2004. Very out of coat, but his quality is still evident.

Highcroft Nightline was a son of the well-known, multiple BIS winning, and BEST OF BREED winner at Westminster 2004, CH Highcroft Lode-Ark's Legend. This wonderful dog also won BOV at our National Collie Specialty 2004. I'm not sure if any other collie in history has done this well in all-breed, and specialty shows in the same year.

"Legend" was bred by Chip and Pat Atkins and is owned by Highcroft Collies, Don and Leslie Jeszewski of Hamel, Minn and Pat Atkins of San Antonio, Texas. He is also a CH. Marnus Golden Ruler ROM, son as is our Odie. We are very happy to keep going back to this magnificent dog in our breeding program.
